For privately-financed students, Tottori University will start accepting the ”Scholarship Application Form" for the second semester of the 2024 academic year.
Tottori university determines the university's recommendation rank (ranking) based on the "Scholarship Application Form" submitted by privately financed international students and their academic record, etc.
Based on this recommendation ranking, Tottori university recommends the students with the high recommendation ranking to various scholarships after individually confirming their willingness to apply for each scholarship.
Therefore, privately financed international students who wish to receive scholarships must submit the "Application Form for Scholarship", etc. by the deadline.
Please download the application form from the Documents to be Submitted section below, print, sign (seal), and submit it to the International Exchange Division.
If you have any questions about filling out the form, please e-mail the IAD office.
Submitting the "Scholarship Application Form" to Tottori University does NOT guarantee that you will receive a scholarship.Please pay close attention to this.
*Only students enrolled at Tottori University (including those placed in Shimane, United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, Tottori University) can be recommended by Tottori University for the scholarship provided by JASSO.
Eligibility: Privately financed students
*This scholarship does not apply to recipients of high-cost scholarships such as the Overseas Study Support Program and government scholarships.
*International students who are currently receiving scholarships that can be continued for the following year are not eligible.
*Special auditing students and special research students are not eligible.
Documents to be submitted:
(1) Scholarship Application Form 2024 (2nd Semester) (excel version) (pdf version)
(2) Letter of recommendation from academic advisor (word version) (pdf version)
(3) A copy of the certificate of language proficiency in Japanese or English
(4) A copy of your letter of acceptance, letter of admission, etc. (only for students entering school in October 2024)
*Application forms must be completed in either Japanese or English.
*Both the application form and letter of recommendation can be handwritten or typed on a computer, but the applicate's signature at the end must be handwritten.
※ If you cannot submit the letter of recommendation in time for the deadline, please inform the IAD of the reason in advance. Application forms must be submitted by the deadline.
Application deadline: Tuesday, September 24, 17:00! (Applications will not be accepted after the deadline.)
(Note 1) If your spouse has income, please attach the income certificate issued by the city office.
The income certificate can be obtained at a convenience store if you have your My Number Card.
(Note 2) New students scheduled to enroll in October should consult with the International Exchange Division regarding the submission of the scholarship application form.
(Note 3) Some scholarships we recommend may require you to submit an up-to-date health examination certificate.
Be sure to undergo periodic health examinations.
*Failure to undergo a physical examination may result in the loss of your recommendation, even if you are ranked high in the recommendation order.
*Please note that we will not be able to issue a health examination certificate if you have been notified of a re-examination but have not taken this examination.
