The Northeast Agricultural University is not only one of the universities included in "Project 211" by the Chinese Government - it is also one of the most important universities in the Northeast area of China and it includes 17 different faculties, in both the science and the humanities fields. Also, thanks to its geographical location, it has a close relationship with Russia, and has consistently succeeded in providing a place for exchange and for international communication with students and professors from Russian universities. Besides this, the Northeast Agricultural University actively seeks to contribute to the region through history education and adult education programs which, alongside with the university's curricular education and research, are highly valued.

Study exchange agreements with this school have concluded in March 2003. Its overseas office has been established in November 2006.

Other exchanges

  • Dispatch of students for short-term language training (Every year in August)
  • Enforcement of joint research (From 2006 on)
  • Joined the International Symposium on the Reinforcement of the Headquarters for Universities' International Strategies (2007 and 2008)

*In 2008, the Northeast Agricultural University cosponsored this symposium with the Tottori University during the same period in which the ceremonies for its 60th anniversary took place. This turned out to be an useful symposium for strengthening the cooperation between the two universities in which both presented their joint researches, and where meetings to exchange information between the administrative staff were held.
