We received notification about Iwatani Memorial Foundation recruitment for the Academic year of 2025

【Qualified Applicants】

1. Students from one of the following countries with "Student" visa
   China, Korea, Mongol, Taiwan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam (Note：Japanese Nationals are not qualified.)
    
2. Students who enrolled or will be enrolled in the graduate school on April 1, 2025
    
3. Students majoring in Natural Science or related；
   Engineering, Science, Agriculture (excludes medicine and pharmacy)
    
4. Students in Master's course must be under 30 years old and
   students in PhD program must be under 35 years old as of April 1, 2025
    
5. Students who will not receive any scholarships from any other foundations for the academic year of 2025
   （However, scholarships of less than 100,000 yen per month from universities are excluded.）
    
6. Students who must be able to fulfill the obligations of a scholarship recipient, including participation in the five scholarship meetings held during the first year of scholarship
    
7. Students who do not plan to leave Japan during the scholarship period for short-term study or exchange programs.
    
8. Students who are willing to continue their relationships with the Foundation after completing your scholarship
    
9. Students who can contribute to international exchange and friendship 
    
10. Students who are able to have daily conversation in Japanese to have a daily conversation
    （The only language used at the Foundation is Japanese）
     

 【Monthly Allowance】

 150,000 yen 
Travel expenses for attending regular meetings and conference presentations will be subsidized separately.
　(Travel expenses for conference presentations are subsidized only once during the scholarship period.)

 

 【Scholarship Period】

 Maximum of 2 years from April 1, 2025 to the standard period of study of the current course

 

 【The Number of Scholarship Recipients】

 About 20 students in Japan

 

 【Recruit Period】

 December 1, 2024 to December 20, 2024

※If you will apply for this scholarship, you must consult with your supervisor and please submit the required documents to the foundation by yourself.
