We are now accepting applications for scholarships and other financial aid for the 1st semester of the 2026 academic year.
[Purpose]
This is to determine which students to recommend for university-recommended scholarships.
Tottori university will determine the recommendation ranking based on the submitted “Scholarship Application Form” and academic record etc..
Each time a scholarship is offered, the university will confirm the intention to apply with the top-ranked students in the recommendation ranking and recommend them for various scholarships.

[Important Notice]
- The number of scholarships recommended by the university is limited.
- Submitting the “Scholarship Application Form” does not guarantee that you will be recommended by the university.
- Furthermore, even if you are recommended by the university, it does not guarantee that you will receive a scholarship.
Please submit your application form after thoroughly understanding these points.
1. Eligibility
Privately financed students
- Students receiving high scholarships such as MEXT scholarships, government scholarships, prefectural scholarships, and JICA scholarships are not eligible.
- Special auditing students and special research students are not eligible.
- Those currently applying for other scholarships can also submit a “Scholarship Application Form.”
However, if you are selected for the scholarship you applied for, please prioritize that award.
In this case, the submitted “Scholarship Application Form” will be invalidated.
2. Documents to be submitted

(3) A copy of the certificate of language proficiency in Japanese or English

(Only for students who are newly enrolling in school)

- Please fill out the application form in either Japanese or English.
- Both the application form and letter of recommendation may be handwritten or typed.
However, please be sure to sign your name by hand.
- If your supervisor is away on business and unable to submit the “(2) Letter of recommendation from supervisor” by the deadline, please contact the International Affairs Division in advance to explain the reason.
3. How to apply
Please prepare the “2. Documents to be submitted” and submit them to the Student Exchange Section of the IAD at Tottori University.
【Deadline】 March 10, 2026 (Tue) [Strictly enforced!]
(Must be received by the deadline if sent by mail. Applications will not be accepted after the deadline.)
4.Note
- If your spouse has income, please attach an “income certificate” issued by the city hall.
*If you have a My Number Card, you can obtain it at a convenience store.
- New students who are about to enroll should consult the International Affairs Division regarding how to submit scholarship applications.
- Some scholarships require a health certificate. Be sure to undergo a regular health checkup every year.
*Even if you are ranked highly in the recommendation process, you may not be eligible for recommendation if you have not undergone a health examination.
*If you were told to undergo a re-examination but did not do so, a health examination certificate will not be issued.
