The COVID-19 caseload has been increasing locally and nationwide in recent weeks. With the new year’s holiday approaching, there is a growing concern that the virus could re-emerge during the winter months, when there are more opportunities for meetings and events. We ask that you all continue to follow the protocols indicated below to prevent infection.

If you have symptoms such as fatigue, sore throat, fever, or discomfort of taste or odor, stay at home and report it to IAD.

  1. Avoid entering non-ventilated and crowded facilities.
  2. Any types of group meals are not allowed.
  • Group meals should be limited to a maximum of four people and should not last more than two hours.
  • Always wear a mask and avoid talking loudly, 3C situations, and any situations where there is a potential for mass infections.
  • When going to restaurants, use a restaurant which has been certified as the restaurants that support measures to prevent Covid-19. (see: https://www.pref.tottori.lg.jp/kurashi/)
  1. Please note the followings in the dormitory (International house), the University Hall and the Cafeteria.
  • Do not sit in a seat with a sign that says “no seating”.
  • Do not move the chair from its original location. Do not sit face-to-face.
  • Do not talk loudly when you are not wearing a mask.
  • In the cafeteria, leave immediately after finish eating.
  • Do not use the Japanese-style room in the dormitory (International house) for meetings.
