Notice of Scholarship Recruitment from the Tottori Prefecture International Exchange Foundation (Zaidan) Scholarship Program.
International students wishing to apply should carefully read the following points and submit their application.

 

  

[Applicant’s Qualification]

 

Privately-financed students attending a university or other institution in Tottori Prefecture who meet all of the following requirements.

  1. Applicants must be from, or be enrolled in or graduated from a university in one of Tottori Prefecture's Friendship Partner/Exchange Areas (Gangwon Province, Korea; Jilin Province, China; Russian Maritime Region; Central Mongolia Province; Hebei Province, China; Khabarovsk Region, Russia; Taichung City, Taiwan; Vermont, USA; Westmoreland, Jamaica).
  2. Students who have been enrolled in universities or colleges in Tottori.
  3. Students who are not receiving any other scholarship at the time of application.
  4. Students who will register as International Exchange Activity Volunteer” with Zaidan, and participate or volunteer in the events held by Zaidan
  5. Students whose family members do not earn equal to or more than the amount of Japanese government scholarship.However, this excludes those who, due to unavoidable circumstances, live on separate livelihoods or on other different bases.
  6. Students who have not received this scholarship over two times in the past.

 

[Monthly Allowance]

   20,000 yen

 

 

[Scholarship Period]

  Minimum 3months, Maximum 6months (October 2025 - March 2026)

 *It depends on the students’ enrollment period.

[Note]

  • If you are unable to submit the original documents by the deadline because you have not yet arrived in Japan,
    please send the digital data (e.g., scanned copy or PDF) by email within the deadline.
    Submit the original documents as soon as you arrive in Japan.

  • The number of available scholarships is limited.
    If there are many applicants, faculty member of the International Exchange Center will evaluate the content of the application forms and recommend students in order of highest scores.

  • After submitting the application form, an interview will be conducted by the foundation.

  • Research students and exchange students are also eligible to apply for this scholarship.

  • The application form may be handwritten or typed, but it must be filled out in Japanese.

  • If you apply for this scholarship, you cannot be recommended for any other scholarships by Tottori University until the result is announced.

 

(Important) Please note that not all applicants will be selected for this scholarship since the Zaidan determines the recipients of this scholarship.
