（Qualification Summary）

1.　Qualified Applicants

 To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be privately financed students who are enrolled in the University as an undergraduate or as a graduate student, and are from one of the following countries：Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, East Timor, Viet Nam（Note: Japanese Nationals and Research students are not qualified.）

 

In addition, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

 

① Students are interested in international understanding and goodwill and will be able to attend Sato Foundation Meetings (meetings will be held six times a year.);

 

② Students are currently not receiving any scholarships or study grants.

 

③ Students have a “college student” visa;

 

④ Students do not have a parent who works in Japan;

 

⑤ Students do not have a doctoral degree;

 

⑥ First year students or transfer students enrolled in April 2019;
 

⑦ Students are able to communicate in Japanese;
 

⑧ Students are able to cooperate actively with international exchange programs as SATOM after finishing receiving this scholarship. (SATOM is alumni of Sato International Scholarship Foundation)
