(Qualification Summary)
1. Qualified Applicants
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be privately financed students who are enrolled in the University as an undergraduate or as a graduate student, and are from one of the following countries:Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, East Timor, Viet Nam(Note: Japanese Nationals and Research students are not qualified.)
In addition, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
① Students are interested in international understanding and goodwill and will be able to attend Sato Foundation Meetings (meetings will be held six times a year.);
② Students are currently not receiving any scholarships or study grants.
③ Students have a “college student” visa;
④ Students do not have a parent who works in Japan;
⑤ Students do not have a doctoral degree;
⑥ First year students or transfer students enrolled in April 2019;
⑦ Students are able to communicate in Japanese;
⑧ Students are able to cooperate actively with international exchange programs as SATOM after finishing receiving this scholarship. (SATOM is alumni of Sato International Scholarship Foundation)
2. Monthly Award
Undergraduate Students: 150,000 yen
Graduate Students: 180,000 yen (There is also financial support available for participating in academic conferences related to your study program.)
3. Scholarship period
April 2019 ~ March 2021 (2years)

IMPORTANT!! If you apply for this scholarship, Tottori University will not be able to recommend you for any other scholarships until you receive the result of your application from the Sato Foundation.
