We have received a notification regarding the recruitment of scholarship recipients from the OTSUKA TOSHIMI SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION.
Privately Financed International Students conducting research in the eligible fields (Medicine/Dentistry/Pharmacy, Medicine/Pharmacy-related Engineering, or Business Administration) are invited to check the details below and apply.
[Eligibility]
Privately financed international students conducting research in the following areas:
・ Medical, Dental, and Pharmaceutical fields
・ Engineering fields (limited to fields closely related to medicine and pharmacy)
・ Business-related fields (*Students from developing countries whose research focuses on "International Relations with an emphasis on Economics" are also eligible)

[Application Guidelines]

[Scholarship Details]
Amount: 2,000,000 yen / 1,500,000 yen / 1,000,000 yen per year (decided by the foundation’s selection committee)
Duration: From April 2027 to March 2028 (1 year)
*Concurrent scholarships: Not allowed
[Application Process]
① Inform the IAD of your intention to apply [Deadline: Thursday, October 15]

*You do not need to submit any documents at this stage.

【Important】 Prior Confirmation Requirement: As an application condition, you are required to have your application documents reviewed by your supervisor. You must inform your supervisor in advance that you are applying for this scholarship and ask them to check your application documents. Additionally, please have your supervisor confirm whether your research content aligns with the eligible fields. |
② Internal Selection at Tottori University
Tottori University's recommendation quota is one applicant per field (Medicine/Dentistry/Pharmacy, Engineering, and Business Administration).
If there are multiple applicants, nominations will be made based on the rankings of the "Scholarship Application Form for privately-financed international students".
③ Submission of Application Forms (Nominated Applicants Only)
Those selected as university nominees will be notified at a later date regarding the application procedures and submission deadlines.
Application forms may be filled out in English; however, you must also prepare your own Japanese translation.
Once nominated, you cannot apply for other scholarships until the selection results are announced.
