To Privately-financed Students
Privately-financed students who would like to apply for the Tottori
International Exchange Foundation (Zaidan) Scholarship are required to come
to the International Affairs Division to receive the application forms.
[Applicant’s Qualification]
Privately-financed Students who attend a university or a college in Tottori
Prefecture and meet all the requirements stated below.
1) Students who have been enrolled in universities or colleges in Tottori
for more than 6 months
2) Students who need financial support for studying
3) Students with excellent academic performance and personality
4) Students who are not receiving or will not receive any other scholarship at the time of application.
5) Students who are expected to be enrolled in the university for at least one year from the start of the scholarship period.
6) Students who are aware of their status as a scholarship recipient and are able to cooperate with the Zaidan's projects and contribute to international exchange activities in the community.
7) Students whose family members do not earn equal to or more than the amount of Japanese government scholarship. Expect for those who live on separate livelihoods or on different bases of livelihood due to unavoidable circumstances.
8) Students who have not received a scholarship from the Zaidan for more than one year in total in the past.

*Students who can apply for the scholarship are those who have
submitted the “Scholarship Application Form for the first semester of the
Academic Year 2022 to Tottori University.
*Students who currently have been applying for any other scholarship cannot apply for this scholarship.
*If you apply for this scholarship , Tottori University will not recommend you to any other scholarship until you receive the selection result from Zaidan around the end of June.
Among international students who meet the all requirements above,
Tottori University will recommend every student who would like to apply
for this scholarship to Zaidan. However, it does not mean that all
applicants will be selected. The recipients for this scholarship will be
decided by Zaidan.
