On Saturday, May 19th and Sunday, May 20th, a festival is held once every two years at a traditional shrine called HIJIRI shrine. Gyoutoku area with a shrine was once a very prosperous castle town and in the precincts of the shrine there are big trees, preserved forests by Tottori City. This Festival started around 240 years ago, people in the town will parade by walking and dancing while pulling a festival car called YATAI.
We are looking for international students who will pull the car or dance with local people.

※It is possible to participate only for 1 day. Participants will wear “Happi”, traditional clothes for festival.
Condition:
1.Participate in practice more than 2 times
2.Pay transportation fee to the venue by yourself(Daigaku-mae station ⇔ Tottori station)
3.Participate in a meeting (as like a closing party), it will be held in a few days after

Schedule: Tuesday, May 8th. Friday, May 11th. Tuesday, May 15th. Thursday, May 17 th.

How to go: Go by train after gathering at Tottori Daigaku-mae station.
Going: 6:20PM at Tottori Daigaku-mae station.
Returning: 8:25PM at Tottori station.
Place: Tottori city Gyoutoku area
It takes about 10 minute by walk from Tottori station.
