People who reside in Japan and whose age are 20 years and more are required to join the National Pension Plan even though your nationality is not Japanese.

However, degree students can apply to the "Students' Special Exemption System for National Pension Premiums Payment".　With that application, you will be exempted to pay the pension premiums for the fiscal year. You have to take the procedure every April to be exempted at the city office.

If you forgot to apply for the exemption this April, you need to apply for it now. The city office pension service staff will come to Tottori University and accept your application of the exemption on the following date.
