Sato International Scholarship Foundation Recruitment
for October 2017 and April 2018 applicants

You must submit the application forms for this scholarship to the IAD by Friday, July, 28, 2017.
*You must fill out the application forms in Japanese.
(Qualification Summary)
1. Qualified Applicants
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be privately financed students who are enrolled in the University as an undergraduate or as a graduate student, and are from one of the following countries:Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Lao, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, East Timor, Viet Nam(Note: Japanese Nationals and Research students are not qualified.)
In addition, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
① Students are interested in international understanding and goodwill and will be able to attend Sato Foundation Meetings (meetings will be held in Tokyo six times a year.);
② Students have not received and will not receive any scholarship or study grant from any other foundations for the academic year of 2017;
③ Students have a “college student” visa;
④ Students do not have a parent who works in Japan;
⑤ Students do not have a doctoral degree;
⑥ Students’ enrollment period will last for more than one year beginning from October 2017 or from April 2018;
⑦ Students are able to communicate in Japanese;
⑧ Student who are in their second year or higher when starting to receive the scholarship;
⑨ Students are able to cooperate actively with international exchange programs as SATOM after finishing receiving this scholarship. (SATOM is alumni of Sato International Scholarship Foundation)
2. Monthly Award
Undergraduate Students: 150,000 yen
Graduate Students: 180,000 yen (There is also financial support available for participating
in academic conferences related to your study program.)
3. Scholarship period
October 2017 ~September 2019 (2years)
April 2018 ~ March 2020 (2years)
※Only for the standard number of years required for graduation to complete their degree they study for at the time of the selection

About 20 students in Japan

IMPORTANT!! If you apply for this scholarship, Tottori University will not be able to recommend you for any other scholarships until you receive the result of your application from the Sato Foundation.
*If it is found that you were not selected to receive this scholarship, you will be able to apply for any other scholarships.
Students who have passed must attend the certification ceremony on Sunday, November 12, 2017.
